RJ Gibbs
Michigan State University Program Evaluation Specialist
I am a Program Evaluation Specialist for Michigan State University Extension in the Health and Nutrition Institute. My role is to provide guidance on program reporting and data validation, as well as develop program reports for local, state, and federal entities for all of our community nutrition and physical activity-related programming throughout our 80+ counties in Michigan. I also work to find new opportunities for additional programming and assist with research design and implementation for evidence-based programming needs.
I am also a recent PhD graduate (2019) from Michigan State University in Kinesiology with a cognate in sports nutrition. My areas of interest and research include coach and athlete education, long-term athlete development (LTAD), psycho-social aspects of sports and physical activity, adolescent nutrition and physical activity behavior change through sport participation, sports performance, and reducing childhood obesity.
I am looking to expand my professional network in the areas of sports psychology, strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, or anyone who has a keen perspective on health and wellness.
