Amy Hollar MS, RDN joined UNH Extension in June 2020. She serves as the State Specialist and Area of Expertise Chair for UNH Extension Healthy Living and Nutrition. She is the Director for the UNH Nutrition Connections Program, which includes serving as the state coordinator and PI for the New Hampshire SNAP-Ed and EFNEP grants. She has an appointment as an Extension Associate Professor with the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture which includes collaborating with faculty on research addressing social determinants of health (particularly food insecurity) and culturally tailored healthy living interventions, and engaging students and interns in Extension Healthy Living programs.
Amy holds a Bachelors degree from Keene State College and a Masters degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is a Registered Dietitian and has previously worked for University of Maryland Extension EFNEP and SNAP-Ed and Ohio State University Extension EFNEP. Amy loves spending every day trying to better her community by making "the healthy choice the easy choice".
